Turkansaari has been a significant place for hundreds of years – it was known as a marketplace in the Middle Ages, and the atmospheric wooden church originates from 1694. The Open Air Museum, opened in 1925, rose up to protect the area’s cultural legacy and has become one of Finland’s most beloved open air museums – a jewel of Oulu in the middle of the Oulujoki River.

To celebrate the 100-year anniversary, Turkansaari adopts a new, fresh brand that glows with Turkansaari’s summery beauty connected with life in the past.
